The Village of Riverton operates on the President/Trustee form of government. The President/Mayor and Clerk are elected on 4 year terms during at large elections.  Trustees are elected to staggered 4 year terms during these April elections. The Treasurer and Planning/Zoning Commission members are appointed positions. The Board of Trustees are also given the following  committee assignments.
